uMlalazi Municipality in collaboration with The Office of the Premier, today visited uMfolozi TVET College Eshowe Campus for a Youth Development program and voter registration drive. The program was aimed at equipping young people with information on appropriate career paths and encouraging self-reliance, with a strong message that the youth must not only seek jobs but become job creators who drive the economy forward.

It was an inspiring day as various government departments and stakeholders came together to share opportunities and practical support. Present were COGTA, Human Settlements, DSD, Lungelo Youth Development, iThuba Agribusiness, Telkom, Maghwakazi Digital Hub, Green G Technologies, KZN Tourism and Economic Development Affairs, and the IEC who assisted with voter registration.

The engagement was well received, with students leaving motivated, informed, and connected to real opportunities for skills, funding, business support, and civic participation. uMlalazi Municipality remains committed to empowering the youth and building a future where young people lead with innovation, confidence, and purpose.
