The Community Services Directorate is responsible for cleansing, environmental health, sport, recreation, municipal facilities and a range of community-focused support programmes.
Through its services and programmes, the Directorate promotes public health, environmental wellbeing, social development and access to safe recreational and community facilities.
Its responsibilities extend across municipal cemeteries, primary healthcare, youth programmes, HIV/AIDS support, cultural activities, sport development, parks, gardens and waste management.
